LINKS

What's the difference between the Internet Content links and the E-Marketing URLs?
When linking to one of our websites from within the same site, we can use shortened links, and don't need the whole "http://www.site-name-here.com" in front of them. These shortened links are also specially coded to be used within the HTML code only — these links will not work if you enter them into your browser's address bar.

When linking to one of our websites from a different site, we need to use the longer, full URLs that include the site's main address (http://www.site-name-here.com). These URLs are complete and can be used in your brower's address bar. The full URLs can also have tracking codes attached to them, to monitor how many times visitors are coming to that page.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
NEVER copy the URL from the address bar on the live sites to use as links or E-Marketing URLs.
These URLs may contain information about your personal "session id " on the web or may be a longer URL than is necessary. Always use the Sitenav or Prepopulated links/URLs provided on this reference guide.
