Lug Nut Check

Torque all lug nuts on all wheels to 500 ft. lbs.

Check for damaged, rusted or cracked wheels.

Record below the number of lugs at each wheel that required any tightening in order to reach torque specification.

Report any lugs that required tightening below to your Supervisor.

Check All Interior Lights
- In all positions doors open and closed, switching all, off, right, park.
- Check that the front lights dim with the doors closed and brighten when the doors open.
- Check interior light lenses for cleanliness.
- Report if not working or have dirty lenses.

Wheelchair Area
- Ensure wheelchair restraints and lap/shoulder belts are clean and operational and the flip-up seats are adjusted and latching correctly.
- Check wheelchair chime operation.
- Ensure the wheelchair and priority seating decals are in place and presentable.

Mountings
- Check all stanchions and seat mountings for proper attachment, including the front entrance/stair assist handles.

Rear Door
- Check rear door master switch override operation.
- Ensure that the rear door stays open.
- Check brake interlock (should apply brakes when rear door is energized).
- Check condition of bushings, shafts, pins, arms, brushes, grab handles, glass, and seals.

Chime
- Check chime cord/switch operation at the rear, the rear door, and the front of the bus.
- Note if stop request signs are not lit up or the audible chime does not sound.
Notes: Cord at very back of the bus on the driver's side is sagging.

Check All Exterior Lights/Reflectors
- Include:
- High & low beam headlights
- Destination sign lights
- Marker lights
- Backup lights and beeper
- Turn signal lights
- Rear run taillights
- Brake lights

- Exterior wheelchair light/ramp
- Audible beeper

Wiper Blades
- Check condition of wiper blades, wiper arm, and wiper motor mounting tightness.
- Check exterior windshield sealing gaskets.
Notes: Wiper blade worn and needs replacing.

Bike Rack
- Check bike rack grips for wear.
- Verify proper operation of bike rack.
- Visually inspect the decals to ensure readability.
- Lube pivot points with Triflow.
- Report any damage.
Body Damage
- Check for and report any body damage on body shop worksheet.
Lug Nuts
- Torque all lug nuts on all wheels to 500 foot-pounds (ft-lbs).
- Check for damaged, rusted, or cracked wheels.
- Report any lugs that required tightening to your Supervisor.
- Record the number of lugs at each wheel that required tightening (enter "0" if no tightening was necessary):
Tires
- Thump tires to check for low air pressure.
- Check for uneven wear and damage.
- Record tire wear below:
Measurements
Batteries
- Check batteries and fill if needed with distilled water. (Part #1003082)
- Check connections in batter & fuse compartment for corrosion and looseness.
- Lubricate battery tray rollers with a Teflon spray lubricant.
- Check battery cable supports, make sure cables are not lying on battery tray slides when batteries are pushed in.
